The collection documents the actions and activities of the Boise City Department of Arts & History including its administration, finances, events, projects, and programs. The records consist of correspondence, meeting minutes and materials, newspaper articles, architectural drawings, reports, surveys, promotional material, grant applications, artist submissions, and publications. The collection also contains photographic and audiovisual documentation of events.

This collection contains transcripts of oral history interviews with Felicia, Millie Davies, Larry Eno, Ron Murray, and Alta Harris, as well as the August 1996 Harris Ranch Cultural Resources Survey and December 2006 Harris Ranch Supplemental Cultural Resources Survey.
